Waevin Live — The Streamer's Guide to Live Pack Breaks and Auctions

What is Waevin Live?

Waevin Live is the live streaming feature built into Waevin — the UK's trading card marketplace. It lets you open packs, run auctions, and sell cards live to viewers who can buy instantly through the same platform you stream on.

Unlike streaming on YouTube or Twitch and sending buyers to a separate payment link, everything on Waevin Live is integrated: the video, the auction, the payment, and the order are all in one place.

Getting approved as a streamer

Before you can go live, you'll need to complete a short application:

1. Verify your email and enable 2FA — basic account security 2. Complete identity verification — handled by Persona (GDPR compliant, your documents stay on their servers) 3. Submit your stream application — tell us about your content and what you plan to stream 4. Get approved — our team reviews within 2 working days

You must be 18 or older to stream on Waevin Live. Read the full community guidelines.

Setting up your stream

Once approved, go to Dashboard → Live → Stream Settings to get your RTMP details.

Using OBS (recommended):

• Service: Custom RTMP
• Server: rtmps://live-ingest.waevin.com:443/live/
• Stream key: generated when you create a stream

Streaming from your phone/browser:

• Click "Go live now" on your dashboard
• Choose "Browser / Phone"
• Allow camera access — uses your rear camera by default (ideal for showing cards)

Running a live pack break

Pack breaks are one of the most popular formats on Waevin Live:

1. Set up your break — in the streamer command center, go to the Breaks tab and create a new break with title, product, price per slot, and number of slots 2. Viewers buy slots — the slot grid appears on your stream page with buy buttons 3. Randomise — once enough slots are sold, hit "Randomise & start" to assign random slot numbers 4. Open packs live — stream your break, assign pulled cards to slot numbers 5. Ship — go to Dashboard → Live → Pack Breaks → Fulfil orders to see each buyer's shipping address and mark cards as shipped

Running live auctions

1. In the streamer command center, go to the Auctions tab 2. Enter the card name, starting bid, and timer length 3. Hit Start auction — the bid panel appears on your stream page immediately 4. Viewers bid in real time 5. When the timer ends (or you click End), the highest bidder wins 6. Their payment is captured through Waevin's secure system

Managing your live shop

Your Live Shop is separate from auctions — it's a permanent storefront that appears on every stream you run. Add items in Dashboard → Live → Live Shop:

• Cards from your listings — any of your active marketplace listings
• Custom items — accessories, sleeves, sealed product, bundles

Viewers see the shop panel on your stream page and can buy items instantly without interrupting the auction.

Order queue

When you have pending orders, you can show viewers their position in the queue. Enable it in the Queue tab of the streamer command center. As you pack and ship each order, mark it as done — the queue updates live for everyone watching.

Getting paid

All sales from Waevin Live (auction wins, pack break slots, live shop purchases) go through Waevin's secure payment system. Funds are held in escrow and released to your wallet once the buyer confirms receipt. Withdraw to your UK bank at any time.
